A view of my world in Central Illinois and places we go.

Finn’s First Winter

One of the joys of having a “puppy” is seeing his reaction to the first snowfall. Now, I will admit that our Finn is hardly a puppy anymore, at least in dimension. He is as large as, if not larger than, our Henry, which puts him in the 70+ pound category. But, mentally, he’s still a pup – full of crazy excitement at anything new – pulling me down the street (my tennis elbow is coming back!) and darting for such interesting things as a blowing leaf. And don’t get him started on squirrels, rabbits, and birds that happen to land nearby. So, I just wanted to publish a few photos of Finn (taken with my new Canon 7D, of course!). Pretty obvious that the cold does not bother him – and it shouldn’t – he’s got a fur coat that would keep an Eskimo warm!

Obviously not ready to end his walk

Finn’s a beautiful boy–and so spirited! It’s good to see he and Henry getting on so well.

  2. He is a good-lookin’ boy. I will post more of him in the near future. And, yes, he and Henry are pretty good buds; Henry is a very tolerant gentleman.
